A beautiful winter day in Montello in December.  The waterfalls in the granite quarry are partly frozen and sheath the rock with beauty.

Look just about anywhere in Marquette County in the winter and you’ll see some beautiful frozen landscapes.  The Montello River pushes through an icy shoreline and the granite quarry in Montello has its own frozen beauty.

Cedar Wax Wings visit my property some winters.  They come in big flocks and are are beautiful to watch.  They like the blue cones on the red cedars and my trees are full of them this year.  They have some trees stripped of them.   From a distance they look drab, but close up they are beautiful with red tips on their wings and bright yellow on their tail and underside.
