Unearthed

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

The Montello Historic Preservation Society had an exhibit in 2007 that told the story of the very first people who lived in what is now Marquette County, Wisconsin. I learned so much about these first people that it has made my appreciation for the place I live deeper and richer. It has also helped me see connections between all of us.

Sadie

Let’s talk about my book, “Sadie – The Least of These”

I wrote Sadie, the Least of These because of my strong support of direct care workers and the need to examine the culture of caring in our country. Some people don’t believe what happens in the novel would never happen in real life, but that’s not true. It does and ignoring how we are all a part of it will never make change happen.

Blog Welcome

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

Hello and welcome to my blog!

My intent is to post notes about life in Marquette County, Wisconsin and my take, for what it’s worth, on what is happening in the world.

It’s still spring and the glory of nature is in full bloom, or headed there. I visited a favorite back road yesterday and the ferns had grown a foot since last week. I must have a nest of ducks somewhere in my woods because a hen was sitting in my drive and didn’t leave when I passed by her on my way out. I’m guessing she was taking a break from the babies.

Have a good one!
